For once, Minako had the feeling that she’d be able to sleep without nightmares. Eyes fluttered shut and a loud yawn escaped her, and the redhead barely had time to make it up the stairs before sleep took her.
(皇帝);; — “Maybe.” Leather was brought to the boy’s face in an effort to stifle the smallest of yawns threatening to escape him.
"Just don’t overwork yourself, alright? You need your energy for the next day too, you know."
The redhead smirked a bit at her upperclassman’s attempt to seem alert, surprised when her own body reacted and caused her to yawn so loudly it brought tears to her eyes.
"…Oh." Pink stained the girls cheeks for a moment, but Minako quickly shook her head. "Ah, no, I’m fine. Always ready to go, senpai! Besides, I doubt I’d ever be able to actually overwork myself. Idiots don’t get colds, remember?"
"I think I lost all my presence when I died the first time around. In my reality, I’ve become a phantom of sorts… if you could consider me that."
"Braving the cold, like always. I was going to go out on a night stroll. The lights are particularly bright today."
"Ah— yes, I guess that would make a bit of sense. I figured after all this time I would be able to pick up on something like that, though."
"I’m not a fan of the cold if I can avoid it. I guess that’s one of the differences between us. Make sure you dress warm, I heard we’re supposed to dip below freezing."
(皇帝);; — “Getting ready for bed. You should hit the sack, too.”
"Ah, but it’s so early! I mean, we usually get back from Tartarus later then this anyway, right? I’m still all hyped up!"
"…or maybe it was that Mad Bull I drank earlier. That stuff sure packs a kick."
"They’re all probably out somewhere in Paulownia, shopping for something to give come Christmas. It’s only two weeks left, anyway."
"Ah…good point. You know, when you want, you really don’t have much of a presence. I didn’t even notice you there."
"How’re you this evening, Minato-kun?"
"Hmm…I think that’s enough studying for one night. I wonder what everyone else is doing…?"
